locked in a room

only in a while
After watering everyone and everything else
and giving just enough water to me, dripping,
only enough to keep it going.
Just enough so you can extract,
Extract that which you desire from me.
All the while holding the key
The key that unlocks me from this hell.
What I didn’t realize is,
I also had the key.
But still, I stayed locked inside.
Waiting for you.
To get your little leftover treats.
Not anymore
I am free now
Realizing it,
Knowing it,
Accepting it,
unlocked me.
It showed me the cage I was in.
Built by you, but sustained by me.
Now the cage is broken,
And I am out.
